I really liked whuffie as described in the comment on the kk post - as an attention based currency but the wp page and the whuffie bank site both define it as a currency based on reputation. The higher your rep the more currency you have. This doesn't feel that far from standard capitalism to me. I can see how reputation is built upon attention and that attention flows along currents of reputation but I don't think a reputation based currency is necessarily an attention currency. A pure attention based currency feels more radical and interesting to me.James Tindall 2010 Mar 13th 07:27pm
